Graduation celebrates the successful completion of the journey our dear sisters in Nepal have traveled, recognizing the various achievements they have accomplished along the way. On this day we honor their commitment and hard work. The graduates were provided with their certificate by Pastor Barnabas and Pastor Wes in the presence of dignitaries and parents. Maliha, Karishma, Rakhi, Nayantara, and Neela graduated from the Advanced Parlor Course, while Rochana, Kanchana, and Rachita graduated from the Advanced Tailoring Course.
Rakhi, Neela, and Rochana shared their testimonies, encouraging others to learn job skills and live an independent life. Dhanya and Abhijita shared their experiences of opening their own shops. Dhanya shared how happy she is utilizing her skills. Many young ladies have requested tailoring training, and she is teaching them. Whenever she needed a sewing machine, the safe house provided one for her; she thanks the ministry for everything. Many people come from far away to have her sew their clothes. She is happy to be a part of Safe Nepal.
Abhijita has been happy to open her tailor shop. She is able to run her shop and set money aside to bear all the responsibility to provide for herself and her 12-year-old son. She loves her job and is proud of her new independence. When she was alone, no one would help her. Now she has earned everyone's respect and their behavior has changed towards her. She is proud to have learned skills she can utilize in her village.
After the graduation program, Maliha, Karishma, and Rakhi went back to their homes. They are excited to be reunited with their family members. Karishma got a job in a beauty parlor and has started to earn her own money; she is also continuing with her studies. Maliha is with her mother and is continuing her studies. Kanchana and Rachita will leave after the lockdown has lifted; continue to pray for them and their plan to open a tailor shop.
