This morning in my prayer time I reflect back to the "outstanding generosity" you have shown to me by your attitudes and service. A smile came across my face as I prepare for yet another Great Adventure. That is a title I choose to put on each trip before I depart. Each trip always brings new people, new challenges, and sometimes new painful experiences … especially with those who have been trafficked. We have the privilege to simply love on those who have been abused, abandoned, and neglected. Some stories are so tragic that any attempt to explain it to those who are family or friends often quietly choose to deny its validity. I have seen victims of unimaginable abuse here at home and in other corners of the world. One doesn't have to look very far to find it, but here is the beautiful part: God raises up true ambassadors of His divine nature and sends them out to be HIS hands and feet. To step in and simply hug someone who is in despair, who has lost hope. To show them they are of great value and precious not only to us, but to God.
The exciting part about it is that you will be sent halfway around the world to be the hands and feet of God to those living without hope. When I think of mercy, compassion and service, I am truly delighted to know you and it is an honor to serve alongside you together. Thank you for being a part of this work!
