Trusting God

It was a difficult decision for us to bring our 10 1/2-month-old daughter with us, but I truly believe that God had a purpose for her going, to be able to use HER there as He was using me. It meant a lot to the women that we would travel all that way with our infant; not many risk bringing their children on trips with them, and they thoroughly enjoyed having a little American baby to play with and care for. It was stressful at times for me to see her handed around – but my big life lesson for the trip was in trusting God. Having lost a baby before her made it even harder to not protect her every moment of our time in Nepal, but I know the joy of letting God work in her young life to accomplish His purposes.
