Cheri Paxton never imagined that she would set foot on a plane – ever in her whole life. Not even for a short flight. But God had other plans for her. When she heard about the plight of young girls who lived overseas being sold as sex slaves and the ministries that helped the girls escape to a safe home, her heart leapt. The work was extremely dangerous. It cost thousands of dollars per person and required a 30-40 hour flight into some very different places.
As she listened, God spoke to her heart – to go. Cheri felt like Moses as she invested hours in prayer, asking if He really wanted this small-town Montana gal – with no qualifications – to travel around the world. The answer was “Yes!” and He has empowered her to go several times. The trips have changed Cheri's life.
When she was asked to be a board member for Restoring Hope Nepal, she took it to God in prayer and felt compelled that by accepting this position she would be able to help this organization bring His love and hope to those hurting girls, as well as those children in the orphanages sponsored by Restoring Hope.
